Hamsters need a good and healthy diet in order to live a healthy happy life. Hamsters also need some fresh fruits and veggies. I suggest you feed them fruits and veggies either every other day, or every 2 days. Some websites may say you can feed them fresh produce every day. But hamsters have very delicate systems, so they can get an upset stomach very easily. Be careful! A lot of fruits and veggies are very bad and can kill your hamster!
FEEDING: Give your hamster exactly 1 tablespoon (4 teaspoons) of food every day

If your hamster is not eating don't freak out. Did you just get your hamster? Because most hamsters don't eat right away after you get them, well mine didn't anyway. Something I suggest doing is getting a few different types of food and hand feeding them to your hamster. Which one is their favorite? Put your hamster's favorite fruit in their food dish and they will hopefully smell the familiar, delicious food they had earlier and have an urge to eat. When they eat the fruit in their food dish they may discover that they actually like their actual food! Keep doing this for a few days so they won't lose interest in their food. If you have had your hamster for a while, check for any signs of illness because older hamsters catch or develop illness quite easily. Now I hope you have so ideas on what to feed, how much to feed, and what to do if your hamster isn't eating.
